How do I calculate MPG accurately?

How to track fuel and EV efficiency

Units and formulas

Select units that fit your market and vehicle. PitSync supports MPG (US or UK/Imp), L/100km, km/L, and EV metrics: mi/kWh, km/kWh, Wh/mi, and Wh/km. Core formulas:

MPG = distance (miles) ÷ fuel added (US gal or Imp gal).

L/100km = fuel (litres) ÷ distance (km) × 100.

km/L = distance (km) ÷ fuel (litres).

mi/kWh = distance (miles) ÷ energy (kWh); km/kWh similar.

Wh/mi = energy (kWh) × 1000 ÷ distance (miles); Wh/km similar.
